This is my “before” picture. I know it is not your traditional before photo, and that I am not standing up straight looking at the camera in front of a blank wall, but it’s all I have. In the April shot, I know for certain that I weighed roundabouts of 230 lbs. In the December and February shots, I estimate that I weighed a comparable amount. I apologize for the bass guitar and microphone stands that might be in the way of a good view of my actual weight – I’m a musician and these are really the only full-body shots I allowed to be taken of myself (mostly because I couldn’t control what photos people took of me) pre-diet.

 This photo was taken while we were on vacation. Before we left for vacation (on Saturday morning), I weighed 209 lbs. After we got back, I was at 213.5 lbs. Thus, this photo shows me somewhere between 16.5 and 21 lbs lighter than the before photo, and between 13 and 17 lbs lighter than my starting diet weight of 226.5 lbs.

This is me at 191 lbs on July 25, 2008. See me crossing the threshold from the obese to simply overweight! Please also note that those pants would barely button back in December 2007, and I used to have a terrible, obvious muffin-top when I wore them. Now they fit perfectly! (The tag says 16, by the way, but I am fairly certain they run small and are more like a 14.)
